When Cae had received the text from his sister, he hadn't been surprised. They'd both been getting restless recently. He was thinking of suggesting a trip to a small town, somewhere in the forest, perhaps Canada. Somewhere where their decimation could be blamed on a bear attack and not have the hunters on their backs. So when he got the text, he merely smirked to himself and slid the phone back into his pocket. He'd been on the same shift as Caria; his just lasted a little longer. Once he was done, he winked at the girl who had been checking him out for the last hour and a half, knowing that she'd be back tomorrow, and headed out the door. As soon as he was outside, he ducked into the alley beside the bar, knowing of a shortcut into the woods.

As the crossed through the alley, he passed a group of intoxicated men surrounding a girl who was whimpering helplessly. When she saw his silhouette pass in the dark, she attempted to cry out for help, only to be cut off by one of the men. As much as Cae really hated humans, and would have gladly let them carry on with whatever mindless crap they were doing, he always loved playing with them. He’d hear them back in the bar the day after—‘whoa, I was so drunk last night. Did you see that…?’ and they’d trail off, unable to finish their sentence because what exactly had they imagined? Except they hadn’t imagined it at all. He sighed in frustration and turned back to the group. Now, he saw that there were five men gathered around one young girl. He grabbed one by the shirt and threw him backwards into the brick wall, then ducked under one of the others’ arms, standing in front of the girl, almost protectively. He grinned widely, murderously and let his eyes flash pitch black. The men all took a step back in unison, and Cae laughed loudly. One attempted to swing at him, but he ducked, grabbed the man’s arm and snapped it. His cries of pain sent the other four running down the alley, back to whatever lives they had been living. He turned halfway to the girl, winked and headed back on his way into the woods, pulling up the hood of his jacket.

Once he got to the clearing, he hung back in the trees as he heard voices from across the clearing, only appearing once his sister had reassured the man. "Caria," He greeted her smoothly. "What took you so long?" He joked, crossing the clearing slowly, toward his sister. His pace became teasingly slow, and he could see the confusion on the stranger’s face. For the second time that night, Caedes let his eyes flash to black and fear flicked across the man’s face, before he blinked exaggeratedly slow and shook his head, during which time, Cae let his eyes go back to hazel.

"It was too tempting," Caedes replied with a smirk, glancing at Aria briefly before returning his gaze to the human. He watched as his sister had her fun, while he circled the pair slowly. As the human looked back to him, Cae shot him a wink, which probably didn't calm any of his nerves at all, but that was the best part. He knew his sister was a fan of the physical side of things, whereas he preferred to use words to utterly confuse them, then terrify them, and finally let them think they had a chance of getting away before killing them.

When his sister spoke, Cae looked back at her, smirk still playing at his lips. His gaze slowly returned to the human who, through the macho bravado he was attempting, had fear plainly showing on his face. Cae had missed this, but he smiled at his sister, "Why don't you handle this one?" He offered, almost purring as he took his chance to tease the human.

Caedes couldn't help the grin that spread across his face when Caria replied. He watched intently as she shoved the man to the ground and grinned wickedly. He slowly took a seat on the grass, stretching his legs out in front of him and leaning back on his arms, as if he were watching a movie. Cae laughed along with his sister loudly, letting his eyes slip to black, but not bothering to change them back. He smiled up at his sister. "Yeah, it's such a bore when we've killed too many people, need to lie low," He spoke quietly, almost softly, but he knew it made him seem almost as dangerous as he was, as the human flinched and glanced between the siblings with wide, terrified eyes. Cae heard the human whimper pleads and barked out another laugh. "You humans get yourself into such mess, don't you?"

Caedes watched the man as Caria twisted his arm backwards. He knew why he hadn't heard the snap--because it would be over too quickly. Cae raised one hand, unable to resist, and clenched it into a fist. The human doubled over as much as he could in Aria's grasp. Caedes knew, from fighting with other demons, how that would feel--like his lungs had all but disappeared, and his ribs were being crushed to dust. Of course, they weren't. Cae wasn't powerful enough for that, only physical contact could do that. Which made Cae grin widely, because he could do this over and over and over and the human's bones would never break, never ruin his fun.

Cae held his hand out for a few moments before stretching out his fingers again and dropping them to the grass, smirking. "I'm sure you'll think twice about following girls out of bars next time," Cae paused and tilted his head to the side, still smirking. "Oh wait, that is, if you do get away, which, between you and me...is not very likely."

Caedes grinned devilishly at his sister and got back on his feet as she moved closer. He stood completely still for a second before letting one foot move forward quickly, as if he was about to attack again. The man flinched and stumbled back a few steps. "So we're gonna give you a few seconds to run," Cae purred. Cae watched as the man moved his gaze between the two demon siblings and sent him a wink. "One... Two... Three..."
